Responsible for managing the water and mechanical products sales in Indonesia

The Sales Manager supports distributors and fire contractors by identifying their needs, offering standard and specific solutions/ equipment, and services. This in order to retain customers and maximize opportunities and their success ratio.

Identify potential new distributors and fire contractors in market segments where gaps have been identified.

Listen, understand and convey customer requirements to solutions and business opportunities.

Understand and interpret detailed technical specifications

Support competitor product and price profiling in order to determine price positioning of our own products.

Collaboration with internal stakeholders like Business Development, Product Management, Inside Sales, Customer Service, Technical Services and Quality Management to ensure proposals include technical solutions that accurately address customer needs, adhering to Tyco’s product standards, quality standards and specifications. 

Support the distribution network in marketing activities to promote awareness of water and mechanical products, whether in conjunction with Product Management, Business Development and Marketing teams or in targeted events separately.

Participate in analysis of key market segments; understand market structure with key end-users, EPC contractors and specifiers.

Ensure that accurate records of sales activities are maintained in and achievement of key sales performance metrics.

  • Gains customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operational improvements of using specific products/ solutions.
  • Negotiating contracts, terms and conditions.

Participates with other Regional sale colleagues in sharing marketing intelligence about product opportunities that will grow sales.

Based on a close assessment of ongoing projects, plan for and provide weekly forecasts. This will include information on potential risks and opportunities, to ensure accuracy in forecasted numbers.

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to sales effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing directives.



Job requirements


  • BS/BA degree or equivalent in Business, Marketing, or related Engineering discipline or similar background through education or related experience.


  • 3-5 years of related work experience in a technical sales role

Desired Skills and Competencies:  

  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and / or another related technical discipline.
  • At least 3-5 years sales experience in a channel sales / B2B market selling related products, with a proven track record in sales achievement
  • Fluent English - spoken and written
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
