The Red Hat Sales Operations and Enablement team is looking for a Sales Operations Analyst to join us in Singapore. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing technical sales operations activities and directly supporting the Asia Pacific (APAC) Technical Sales Leader. You’ll take initiative in working with the sales teams to develop and roll out programs that develop repeatable and scalable processes and system logic for sales reporting. Other duties will include compiling, analyzing, and interpreting sales bookings data across all routes, creating business plans and dashboards, and participating in various structured and ad hoc strategic planning and analysis projects.
As a Sales Operations Analyst, you facilitate and help create an operational framework for emerging products strategy, led by the APAC Technical Sales Leadership team. This includes understanding and creating processes to guide business through implementing technical sales strategies, recruitment approaches, segmentation models, and enabling programmatic engagement with partners. To accomplish this, you will also develop close partnerships with other global teams like Ecosystem, Products and Technologies, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Regional Sales Operations. You will act as a change agent and point of contact in regions, guiding business insights, and acting as a strategic adviser to the Red Hat Technical Sales team and developing best practices.
Act as a trusted advisor to APAC Technical Sales Leadership by providing advice based on data analysis, best practice-sharing, and experience
Support the implementation of the technical sales strategy; understand what decisions need to be taken by the Technical Sales Leadership in order to define requirements and identify ways to support data-driven decision making
Develop product performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones associated with developing and building the business with and through different routes to market
Develop a consistent set of sales rules to enable increased visibility into the forecasting and tracking of business results from technical sales engagements
Understand segmentation and coverage models across different regions and teams
Collaborate with the Technical Sales Leadership team to plan, forecast, and carry out investments to support the ecosystem’s go to market strategy
Ensure that the programs are globally standardized and properly aligned with other Red Hat business teams, like Products and Technologies, Finance, Incentives, Legal, and Marketing
Serve as the subject matter expert and leader in the design and implementation of policies and processes that impact the APAC Technical Sales
Work with Finance and Incentives teams to contribute to designing an incentive compensation management (ICM) structure that incentivizes sales on key technical sales initiatives
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or achievement at a recognized professional level; master’s degree is a plus
5+ years of experience in corporate sales operations and enablement in a matrixed software organization
Advanced understanding of a multiproduct software strategy to help increase results
Excellent experience with a proven record of success in sales operations
Experience with, and background in Salesforce.com (SFDC) or similar customer or partner relationship management (CRM or PRM) tools and program management
Experience with and background in data analytics tools like Tableau, SAS, and Qlik
