This role will see the successful candidate working within the NBA's Global Content and Media Distribution team across the Asia-Pacific Region. You'll be responsible for helping the business team execute on their strategy through the preparation and organization of documents, team schedules, market research and sales sheets. To be successful in this role you will need to have a good understanding of the media market (or a willingness to learn), a high attention to detail and excellent coordination skills that will allow you to ensure the team is operating efficiently.
This person will sit in the Hong Kong based Global Media Distribution sales team, as part of the wider Global Content & Media Distribution team.
To be successful in this role, the candidate will need to have a strong knowledge of the media industry and be a superstar generalist across all things operations
The role will revolve around the successful coordination of the Media Distribution team's operations - ranging from dealing with partners to helping various business units (Sales, Production/Programming & Partner Marketing in particular) execute projects with our broadcasters.
In addition, you'll be responsible for Market Research and Sales Support as you support, educate and help shape the sales team strategy so a keen interest in the sports and media industry is a must.
The candidate must understand how commercial partnerships operate and be able to effectively communicate and help champion these throughout the business with the support of the Account Executives.
An ability to manage stakeholders and report back to the team will be critical as you coordinate and track the department's Legal and Financing processes including invoicing, payment status and due diligence.
The candidate will add real value through the efficient execution of a number of strategic priorities for the wider team.
Including but not limited to;
Leading research assignments right through to the preparation of documents which will enable accurate assessment of commercial opportunities.
Maintaining relevant operations information by using existing, or creating appropriate tracking, filing and documentation processes. You'll have an opportunity to improve on our CRM and contracting processes.
Provide the team with additional administrative responsibilities including meeting agendas, ticket requests and preparation of presentations.
This role would suit a professional with 3+ years of full-time experience in the Sports Media and Media Rights industry
Demonstrated success managing external partners and stakeholders across multiple markets
Strong presentation skills, both written and verbally, with the ability to uncover what is important to the audience
Ability to quickly absorb information and directions to produce a result
Superb organizational skills which are complimented by the ability to manage your time effectively
This person should be enthusiastic and a real 'people person' who enjoys working as part of a team Being an NBA or sports fan is a plus.
