The role
We are looking for competitive and self-motivated sales professionals to represent a product that can change people's lives! The Sales Representative is responsible for achieving or exceeding sales goals through the sale of educational tours to Australian schools. The Sales Representative must maintain competitive sales numbers and will be responsible for finding prospective clients both within the existing databases and through additional activities.
Responsibilities:
+ Solicit new clients and accounts to meet and exceed goals by making cold calls, direct sales calls, and follow up and convert potential sales leads
+ Maintain relationships with existing clients and accounts through the completion of the sale and efficiently responds to all inquiries made by potential clients via phone or email
+ Establish and maintain regular contact with clients and accounts in order to introduce and promote a destination or tour in accordance with company goals, marketing initiatives and sales expectations
+ Call potential prospects to solicit new business and create a strong pipeline of future business leads
+ Develop a robust sales funnel of leads and prospects to achieve or exceed established sales goals
+ Meet an expected number of sales calls per day and bookings per sales season
+ Ensure established sales goals are met or exceeded through self-motivation and determination
+ Maintain a detailed, organised and thorough database of teachers, including cold, warm and active leads
+ Ensure CRM is up-to-date at all times
+ Manage and take responsibility for the entire sales process. Work with teachers to set enrolment deadlines for students, helps develop marketing strategies for the teachers to utilise while enrolling students.
+ Actively seek to develop and improve skills to build performance. Educate yourself on all related tours and WorldStrides products
+ Research and understand the educational travel industry and develop strategies to win business
Additional Responsibilities:
+ Identify regional trends, competitive behaviour, promotional effectiveness, and market intelligence
+ Represent WorldStrides at trade association meetings and other related business events to promote all products and services.
+ Coordinates with department manager for the initiation of new marketing ideas and product development ideas
Requirements:
+ A bachelor degree preferred
+ 1-3 years progressive sales experience focusing on customer retention and new business acquisition (student travel or travel industry preferred but not mandatory)
+ Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales quotas and measurable performance goals
+ Strong communication and presentation skills including the ability to work with all levels of employees and clients in a diplomatic and professional manner
+ The ability to build strong relationships externally and internally
+ The ability to deal with objections
+ Highly self-driven and motivated
+ Strong attention to detail
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills
+ Proficient computer skills and the technical aptitude to master our CRM
+ Ability to multi-task projects and responsibilities and have strong prioritisation skills
