Sales Representative E-Mobility & Electronics (m/f)

To support our Advanced Materials division, we are looking for a Sales Representative E-Mobility & Electronics. The position is a full-time contract, based at our Advanced Materials European HQ in Basel, CH.

The primary responsibility of the role is to lead new business development opportunities for e-mobility and electronics applications in Europe. Reporting to the Sales Leader E-Mobility, the role is an exciting opportunity to drive the expansion of this market in line with business growth targets.

As Sales Representative, you will:

  • Act as a main point of contact for technical, sales and contract topics for the entrusted accounts and sales prospects
  • Provide technical expertise to customers to process casting and impregnation resins in internal and external customer trials
  • Promote existing products and derive product profiles from new customer applications that meet the Huntsman e-mobility strategy
  • Actively manage commercial tasks for a list of existing accounts, including Key Account planning, pricing, forecasting, credit performance, complaints.
  • Work in cross-functional projects, carrying the voice of the customer into the internal organization
  • Develop Advanced Materials’ network by participating and contributing to fairs, events, conferences and congresses
  • Negotiate sales contracts, terms and conditions according to prices approved by Huntsman and in line with the current regulations and procedures
  • Ensure compliance to Huntsman safety and compliance guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical, mechanical, chemical or material engineering
  • At least 5 years of experience in a technical function in the chemical industry, e.g. product development/formulation, technical service/support or application lab
  • Demonstrating a strong commercial mindset, e.g. respective qualifications or job experience in a commercial function
  • Experience and know-how acquired in thermoset (mostly epoxy) formulation, processing and application
  • Experience and know-how acquired in target applications (e-motors, batteries and electronics) and access to target customers such as Automotive OEM’s and 1st Tiers are major assets
  • Strong communicator, able to distil complex information to short and precise reports
  • Entrepreneurial, results driven and autonomous in the approach with strong organizational and negotiation skills
  • Fluent in English and German, other language an asset
