SALES REPRESENTATIVE

NEXT Compression Corp, a young, dynamic company providing industry leading design and fabrication of natural gas compression, and refrigeration packages has an opening for a Sales Representative to join the team.

Based in Brisbane, Queensland, the candidate will be a self-motivated, polished sales professional with a successful track record of achievement in the natural gas industry. The primary role of the Sales Representative will be to present the right compression solutions to key decision makers within targeted accounts and grow sales revenue within an assigned territory.

The successful candidate will be expected to hit the ground running to build mutually beneficial business relationships, present compelling presentations and close business. This is largely an independent field sales role for a professional with an elevated degree of business maturity and the ability to travel across Australasia & Southeast Asia.


  • A minimum of 4-6 years of professional sales experience in the Oil and Gas and/or Energy industry required.
  • Consultative sales background with demonstrated skills in the areas of lead generation, forecasting, prospecting and driving opportunities to closure.
  • A strong technical/mechanical background or engineering qualification recognized in the industry considered an asset.
  • A demonstrated pattern of achievement, competitive skills, energy, motivation, enthusiasm, and integrity is critical to success in this role.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills are essential; must be able to create and deliver compelling, polished sales presentations.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%

  • In conjunction with the VP Business Development, design account strategy to develop new and existing accounts.
  • Develop and execute on territory marketing and management plan to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Be a key initiator of sales growth, targeting medium to large sized accounts for strategic penetration.
  • Independently and regularly call on mid to senior-level management and other decision maker
