The function of the Service & Lifecycle Specialist is to drive initial and after market contract sales accompanying the entire instrument life cycle.
The primary objective is to be an efficient and effective member of the EMEA Field Service team in delivering highly competent, effective and focussed support on all After Market products to the Service Managers, to our customers and by doing so to achieve revenue optimization and increase visibility of the Company’s After Market product portfolio.
Working as a member of the EMEA Service Team involved in sales support of our range of Service products, duties will include:
Active Sales of After Market products with a focus on DACH territory
Train System Sales team on After Market product
Work with Service Product Manager to develop our Contract portfolio continuously to cover Market needs.
Align with global Contract Sales team on sales tactics and market approaches
Contract data maintenance in CRM system
Close cooperation with Regional Service Manager EMEA and local Service Managers DACH to enhance this business and drive profitability
Close cooperation with already existing colleagues focusing on After Market business in DACH and in FR
Close cooperation with team Order Processing to ensure correct revenue allocation for New Order Bookings
Capture feedback from our customers about their wishes and needs in terms of Service deliveries and share this with the appropriate colleagues in the global Svc organisation and in the factory
Activities will cover all products manufactured or represented by the Company. However, focus needs to be on the top selling instrument series. Accurate record keeping and timely submission of documentation is a prerequisite.
Duties will be carried out mainly via remote connection to customers but will as well include some travelling within DACH territory. Technical and application understanding of our platforms with occasional need to provide field service support on customers’ premises in DACH and abroad is needed and is existing in reality.
The position reports to the Regional Service Manager EMEA for Bruker Daltonics who will agree expectations, offer guidance as necessary and provide framework support.
The position is home based in Germany at a location that is deemed by the Company to be convenient to the customer base, and for travelling as necessary and as described above.
Skills and Experience
the capacity to take responsibility for frequent customer interaction to generate awareness and interest in BDAL After Market products
Sales in complex technical-commercial sales processes linked with a long sales cycle 2 to 5 years with a high degree of technicality of the product
high level of self-organisation and disciplined working with data and its compilation and presentation
good computer literacy, including familiarity with data system hardware and industry standard operating systems
the ability to communicate effectively at all levels with good spoken and written German and English, French language knowledge is a plus
preferably 3-5 years of experience in a relevant field of work
triple competence in Sales, Analytical Chemistry and Commercial tasks
a solid technical or scientific background gained in industry or academia, preferably in the area of Biochemistry and/or Analytical Chemistry
a current driving licence valid EU area
no visa or other restriction preventing travel in the USA or EU
outgoing and good at building relationships through inspiring trust and confidence
a professional image and a very high standard of personal presentation
self-motivation and a willingness to work with others toward a shared goal
the ability to contribute to a team effort, yet to accept responsibility for an individual role within the team
