Minimum qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of industry experience within a high-tech or consulting sales environment
  • Experience with strategic negotiations, business development and go to market plans for data centre exit and consolidation targets.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Pre-Sales or Consulting background
  • Understanding of executive decision making process and consultative problem/solution positioning
  • Deep understanding of the financial and technical challenges faced with running modern day IT operations at large corporations
  • In-depth understanding of the value and challenges of moving to Public Cloud from traditional data center paradigms

Data Center Solutions Sales Specialist are experts with Digital Transformation and Data Center exit experience. We accelerate customers moving from their existing data center into Google Cloud in a best practice based and consistent way. We coordinator diverse Google teams to deliver consistent digital transformation experience to customers.


The Data Center Solutions Sales Specialist is a senior level sales lead who is part of the Data Center Transformation Team and works closely with strategic account teams and sales leadership to drive large strategic business.


You will routinely engage with C-level executives, both internally and externally, providing perspective and guidance on long-term business/technology strategy, and investment options, drawing upon your depth and breadth of technical and business management knowledge. You will lead cross-functional sales teams on high-profile data center exit and consolidation goals, facilitate executive workshops, represent at executive forums, and educate account teams on strategy best practices and industry trends.


This is a strategic business overlay role which combines the competencies of complex large agreement promoting, partner and Global Strategic Initiatives (GSI) facilitations, strategy consulting, agreement structuring, and data center migration experience to the cloud.

Responsibilities

  • Build effective business relationships C-level executives and develop transformational strategies
  • Establish solid working relationships with Google strategic account teams, sales leadership, professional services, product management, Global System Integrator Partners and executive staff. Coach and develop on value promoting to data center exit/consolidation
  • Execute business strategy focused on data center exit/consolidation to drive large strategic adoption of Google Cloud capabilities
  • Assist in return-on-investment and total cost of ownership analysis as well as developing high quality business cases
  • Advise customers on Risk Management procedures, Implementation Time-lines, Change Management Implications, and Current capacity analysis
