About the role

Reporting into the Sales Director, the Sales Support Manager will be responsible for the day to day management of the Sales Support Team. Providing leadership and direction to the Team Leaders and their teams to ensure that an excellent standard of service is provided and maintained.


The Sales Support Manager will build and maintain team spirit and excellent working practices in a motivational working environment, coaching and supporting the team to ensure customer retention at minimum cost and risk to the business, encouraging customer loyalty and ensuring the YGT brand values are represented at all times.

The Sales Support Manager will be instrumental in supporting the commercial objectives of the Sales Unit, and will have direct accountability for revenue generating and protecting objectives.

This is a real hands on role working in a high volume environment.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience working in a customer services role or sales roles, preferably within the travel industry.
  • Previous management or supervisory experience is advantageous.
  • Previous experience of working in the travel industry with knowledge of both UK and Overseas travel
  • A natural leader.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A good listener.
  • Proactive yet flexible approach.
  • Calm and approachable even when under pressure.
