Job Description:

It’s an exciting time to be part of IFF’s Fragrance Sales team and as a CPD / Sales & Administrative Support based in South Africa. The CPD position’s role will be responsible for supporting the Commercial team, customers within the AMET region as well as providing marketing assistance to the team.

Excellent interpersonal skills will be valuable when interacting with Global team members, internal stakeholders, and customers across the region, while centering activities on customer focus, meeting deadlines and efficiency in day-to-day tasks. This position is a challenging role requiring a hands-on, independent self-starter who is experienced, has a strong drive for results, excellent organizational skills, strict adherence to deadlines as well as the ability to work in a high paced environment. These attributes will assist you in becoming a successful member of the diverse and dynamic AMET Fragrance team.

About You:

To be successful in this role you must have a minimum of at least 2 years’ experience in a sales support or customer service role, with the responsibility gained working for a sales team within a multinational company in a fast paced environment.  A minimum grade 12 / matric certificate is required. You will need to be accountable for work performance and set a positive example for other members of your team. You will need to demonstrate very solid administrative and organizational skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy, creative and innovative thinking, and ability to find solutions to problems and make quick decisions within defined control guidelines. To achieve strong stakeholder relationships and desired work results, you will have to demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills as well as be customer focused and ensure that all queries are responded to within established guidelines and standards.

Supporting all the Southern, Central and East Africa fragrance business activities through providing all administrative and sales support to team in South Africa which will include the;

  1. Country Commercial Director | Fragrance
  2. Account Manager | Fragrance
  3. GA Commercial Director | Fragrance; by

Managing sales and customers - Providing full support on all requests and administrative tasks related to customers and Account Managers when they are travelling into the region, taking full ownership of the commercial role to support total scope of customer’s enquiries, customer orders, customer projects, internally generated projects linked to the region and regional clients and provide rapid feedback to clients with full record keeping of all communications and feedback, providing the export manager and / or sales manager with information as requested on a daily basis.

  • Updating and maintaining pricing and price lists in SAP as well as updating of Customer data in SAP / ZCUS.
  • Sampling: loading, following up and provision within the target service level guidelines of sample materials with prices (via pricing officer in approved IFF templates) to requestor.
  • Projects/Opportunities: the loading, maintenance and day to day management with the C&A and AM roles of all projects/sample requests in PUMA
  • Weekly project meeting with the AMET team (Dubai, Hamburg, IFF) to discuss projects, updates and required actions in the pipeline
