What is the role?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Trainer with some flexibility on location (Syd, Melb, Adl). This key opportunity has a very simple core mission, to build a world class sales force at Schneider Electric.

The Sales Trainer role will see you, our preferred candidate, leveraging your experience to up-skill our diverse sales force in aspects central to sales success including sales leadership, transactional selling, consultative selling, coaching and negotiation skills. As our customers embark on digital transformations it is crucial for our sales force to develop the competencies that will allow them to sell the value of our products and solutions in this rapidly evolving landscape. This Sales training role will be a key enabler of this success.

You will also play a key role in the on-boarding of new sales people, assisting their managers to ensure their first 90 days is inspiring and educational.

Mirroring our commitment to sales excellence in every interaction, this role will play a part in up-skilling our customers via immersive training workshops and external events. You will become the subject matter expert for our internal offers and promote the value throughout the organisation. Taking this one step further, you will also design, manage and deliver ad hoc training programs to meet specific business needs with a focus on innovative content.

Specific activities of this role will include :
  • Be the authorised internal trainer for our global sales training offer from our sales excellence academy. You will undertake a “train the trainer“ program to become certified in all relevant programs.
  • Embed and reinforce classroom learning through 1:1 and group coaching sessions.
  • Animation of internal sales communities of practice to reinforce and embed learning
  • Support the sales excellence function by facilitating ad hoc workshops and customer events
  • Evangelise the Schneider Electric sales process, elevating sales capability and performance
About You

Your background includes a history of driving sales training within large, matrix style corporate environments.  You have created and delivered innovative sales training programs designed to elicit elevated sales performance, whilst driving stakeholder engagement at all levels together with the required cadence.

You have a genuine enthusiasm for educating across digital and face to face platforms and have a thirst for learning yourself. You have a keen interest in the principles of emotional intelligence and its application to sales.  Ideally you have a training qualification, Certificate IV in training and assessment or higher.
