We, the SAP Ariba Services Team within the APJ Customer Value Organization is transforming its delivery approach and methodology in order to:
• Accelerate time to value;
• Realise value faster with leading practice and industry expertise; and

In order to achieve this goal, we are building a Delivery Excellence Office within the APJ Services Delivery teams. The Delivery Excellence Office is chartered with the responsibility of ensuring consistent, repeatable and predictable quality at scale in the pursuit of this goal. The responsibility of the Delivery Excellence Office spans all facets of services delivery including by not limited to:
• Delivery methodology definition;
• Improve quality of Project delivery through;
• Standardization of project management tools and methodology;
• Conduct Project Inspections, Reviews and Audits;
• Increase leadership insight into top accounts across the Regions;
• Proactively manage risks and exposure to avoid or manage escalations;
• Train and coach SAP Ariba Project Managers;
• Provide Thought Leadership, coach and manage Customer through their digital procurement transformation to achieve their targeted outcome.
• Continuous improve the quality of Project Delivery.
We are looking for a Project (Senior) Consultant / Project Manager / Customer Experience to work on supporting the APJ Delivery Excellence Office on defining and executing the aforementioned objectives in ascertaining the above goal.
Key Areas of Responsibility and Tasks
• Financial Planning and Reporting – Tracking on project financial data and budget requests. Train and support project manager on the use of the Activate budget tracker.
• Project Infrastructure Management – Create Project operational procedures, implementing tools and standard documents aligned with SAP Activate. Provide support and monitor adoption.
• Project Organization and Governance – Support the initiation and establishment of the Project to ensure it is optimally set up for success.
• Project Plan and Schedule – Maintain and enhance standard project plans. Monitor project schedules and anticipate time risks.
• Scope Control and Change Management – The DEO audits and monitors a formal Change Request Process and approves project baselines.
• Risk Management – Monitor and identifying potential risks, assessing total exposure and monitoring action plans.
• Cost/Schedule Performance Management – Monitor team progress to plan,and summarizes and communicates accomplishments.
• Deliverables and Documents Management - Monitor overall market unit health and individual projects incl. deliverable tracker. Collect and maintain processes metrics and lessons learned.
• Governance and Escalation Management – Monitor and validate Governance model. Ensure project charter has been agreed with the customer. Provide tools to Leadership team for escalation management.
• Communication Management - Maintain and enhance SAP Activate communication plan. Monitor project communication plans
• Quality Management – QM processes are established at the DEO level utilizing specialized Quality Management resources. Individual project reviews are conducted by the DEO.
• Thought Leader and Trusted Advisor – As an expert within delivery methodology and implementations, that DEO liaises with strategic Customers to provide thought leadership, mentoring and coach Customers in an advisory fashion to steer the overall success and realisation of value.
• Managing Project Closure – The DEO monitors the close-down of individual projects continues until all projects are completed and closed.
Job Description
• The Consultant is charged with supporting the realization of the aforementioned Delivery Excellence Objectives
• As a member of the SAP Ariba APJ Delivery Excellence Office, the Consultant serves as Delivery Executive on setting the foundations and establishment of the Delivery Excellence Office within APJ for SAP Ariba Services.
• The Delivery Excellence Senior Consultant is responsible for enforcing SAP Activate methodology and tools across all Services teams, supporting the PMs on its understanding and correct use.
• He/or She is responsible for improving the project management practice in APJ by defining a training plan, coaching, supporting and training the APJ SAP Ariba project managers.
• She/or He is responsible for increasing leadership visibility and insight into the overall program health across the APJ region through establishing and executing a Market Unit / Program Review Cadence.
• He/or She is responsible for conducting a quality assurance and advisory role on the top accounts identified by the APJ Leadership team.
• He/or She is responsible for proactive identification and management of risk exposure to avoid/minimize escalations across the Customer base.
• As a member of the SAP Ariba APJ Delivery Excellence Office, he/or she is responsible for supporting the generation, definition and implementation of continuous improvement activities across the APJ.
Experience & Language Requirements
Management Experience

  •  5 – 8 years of project management experience in large scale, high risk, or strategic projects.
  •  3 – 5 years of supervisory or coaching experience in teambuilding and leading teams.
  •  Demonstrated experience leading cross functional teams within a formalized methodology.
  •  Demonstrated expertise in creating and maintaining project deliverables such as, project charter, project management plan, status reports, project timesheets, communications plan, budget and schedule.
  •  Demonstrated experience in managing issues, scope and quality while bring projects to successful completion within the cost and time requirements.

Management and Leadership Experience

  •  Management experience in managing teams
  •  Management experience of medium to large size and multilayered teams is desirable
  •  Management of remote resources (global delivery or distributed organization)
  •  Cultural awareness and experience working across different cultures and nationalities
  •  Strong leadership and people management skills are desirable
  •  Leading in matrix organization and without formal authority a plus

Preferred Qualifications

  •  Experience with SAP Ariba solutions preferred.
  •  Experience with Activate Methodology.
  •  Demonstrated Project Management skills/experience or PMI.

English: Fluent
Education
 Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or technical discipline or equivalent experience. Master’s degree, MBA, or equivalent experience is desired.
Professional Training & Certification

  •  PMP certification and /or other industry and project management certifications
  •  SAP Solution Manager certification for Project Managers (web assessment)
  •  MS Project Orange Belt Certification
  •  Relevant certifications can be found on the Portal: List of Certifications
