As a member of the Business Intelligence team which sits in Finance under the Accounting Standards, Reporting Excellence and Projects department, you will be acting as a SAP BW/HANA Developer for SAP-based applications maintained by the team (SAP BW data modeling and ETL - Extraction, Transformation and Loading - processes, SAP HANA modeling and scripting, ABAP and SAPUI5 UX development), and non-SAP developments for Business Intelligence tools (e.g. Qlik) extensions, integration and interfaces. The applications maintained by the team are the foundation for the Holcim Group’s core financial management reporting used by 1000+ users worldwide. This role involves direct interface with important stakeholders, from Finance to business functions such as Cement Excellence, Sustainable Development, Logistics, Procurement, Energy Strategy, etc. The position reports to the Head of Business Intelligence and your team colleagues are talented international BI professionals who implement, deliver and maintain high-quality and value-added solutions, connecting the needs of the business with new possibilities that come with technological progress in the BI/Analytics and reporting domain.
Design and implementation in SAP BW, according to functional/technical requirements and available technology, of complex data models (Composite Providers, Advanced DSO, Open ODS), ETL data transformations incl. Start/End Routines complex ABAP programming and Process Chains, having the financial consolidation system as the main source of data.
Custom applications programming with ABAP, ABAP-OO, ABAP web-dynpro, ABAP development for HANA, AMDP Classes, BAdl, and User Exits.
Custom application development based on SAPUI5 with ODATA interfaces to HANA backend.
Design and development of SAP HANA (Classic/XSA) native applications: strong experience with Hana Studio/Web IDE, HANA SQL script, build of complex Dynamic SQL Stored Procedures (e.g. to retrieve and treat SAP source data), Function calls, Tables, Views, HANA Calculation Views.
BW-Integrated Planning – implementation of planning functions.
HANA Applications lifecycle management: Package, Changes and Transports.
Development/customization of QlikView/Qlik Sense extensions.
Coordination of activities, in operations and projects, within the Business Intelligence team, as well as with other stakeholders, e.g. the Business Analysts, various Finance teams and key-users, for collecting and analysing requirements, tests and UAT activities, deployment to production and support.
Support and troubleshooting during critical periods, e.g. during the month-end close operations.
Coordination with IT for backend system related matters (e.g. upgrades, support packages, performance, troubleshooting, etc.)
Ensure proper documentation and handover of implemented solutions and related processes to all relevant parties.
Continuous knowledge enhancement and identification of new opportunities related to the latest technologies, especially in the SAP domain of HANA, BW, Business Intelligence, SAPUI5 and ABAP, and proactively applying improvements to our solutions and processes.

Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
SAP BW and HANA certifications are advantageous

Minimum of 5 years’ work experience as a SAP BW/HANA developer.
Solid project experience of full life-cycle SAP BW/HANA/BI application implementations.
Minimum of 3 years’ work experience SAPUI5 and UX implementations.
Solid work experience in large and complex multinational companies.
Technical / functional skills:
Experience in QlikView and Qlik Sense is highly advantageous.
Knowledge and experience in financial consolidation and/or reporting is highly advantageous.
Experience in SAP BW authorizations and SAP Analytics Cloud is advantageous.
Flexibility and ability to understand the business requirements and transform financial business language into technical specifications.
Strong team-player spirit, working analytically and pragmatically in a solution-oriented and problem-solving environment.
