SCADA Operations is part of the Regional Support in NCE (Northern & Central Europe) area and supports the organisation in new projects, servicing, upgrading and maintaining a large number of SCADA systems controlling medium and large sized wind power plants. Our customers can mainly be found among larger power supply companies and professional investors.
Responsibilities
As a SCADA engineer you will be a part of a team, responsible for commissioning and maintaining Vestas SCADA solutions, and other automated functionalities in our power plants, based on Vestas standards and customer requirements. You ensure knowledge transfer and you will contributes in optimizing and improving our product solutions. You will also support our service business, with hardware replacements and other service tasks.

  • Support SCADA projects from kick-off to commissioning
  • Support internal and external stakeholders during construction and service phase of a wind power plant
  • PLC configuration, testing and fault finding
  • Interface signal configuration, testing and fault finding
  • Configuration, commissioning, testing and fault finding on SCADA Servers, communications and automation equipment
  • Creating and updating Technical documentation
  • Remote commissioning, testing and fault finding
  • Customer and 3rd party interaction


Qualifications

  • Engineering or Technical degree in Automation or similar
  • Industrial electricity and electronics knowledge
  • Experience in PLC programing (e.g. Rockwell and Bachmann)
  • Experience in commissioning and maintenance of server operating systems (MS Windows, SQL)
  • Experience on communication protocols (e.g. Modbus, DNP, IEC60870-5-101, IEC60870-5-104 , OPC)
  • Knowledge of networking and their configuration
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments as needed
  • Professional German and English skills, both verbal and written
  • Valid Driver's License and ability to obtain a Passport

  • Good IT skills and experience with MS Office packages
  • Ability to participate effectively as part of an international team
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks
  • Proven ability to work both with limited supervision and in teams
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills

Additional information
Primary work location is Vienna, Travelling activities around 20% will be expected.
