Ascending.ltd is a manpower service provider that serves clients in various areas including in oil and gas. We are currently looking for an experienced Second Officer - 2/O (unlimited licence) to work onboard of a Well Stimulation vessel in Angola. Work Location: Soyo - Angola

- Must have at least 6 months experience in Well Stimulation & DP 2 vessels.

- BRM “Bridge Resource Management” (STCW A-II/2)
- Leadership and Managerial Skills (STCW A-II/2)
- BST (STCW A-VI/1: PST, FFFP, EFA, PSSR)
- Advanced Firefighting (STCW A-VI/3)
- Medical First Aid (STCW A-VI/4)
- PSCRB “Proficiency in survival craft and rescue boat” (STCW A-VI/2)

Duties and Responsibilities •Assist in navigation and watchkeeping duties.
•Monitor vessel's position, speed, and course.
•Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
•Oversee maintenance of navigational equipment.
•Assist in the management of the deck crew.
•Plan and execute cargo operations.
•Ensure vessel stability during cargo operations.
•Communicate effectively with crew and shore-based personnel.
•Respond to emergencies quickly and effectively.
•Maintain accurate records and logs.
•Assist in the preparation of voyage plans.
•Monitor weather conditions and adjust course as necessary.
•Ensure proper stowage and securing of cargo.
•Inspect safety equipment and ensure it is in good working order.
•Assist in the implementation of the vessel's safety management system.
•Participate in port state control inspections.
•Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations.
•Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation.
•Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Officer.
•In absence of Chief Mate, or when designated by the Captain, implement Captain’s directions for the running of the vessel: direct sail setting, striking, and handling, ship maneuvering, prepare for docking, head of the emergency response team.
•Work closely with the Chief Mate and Captain to ensure your comfortability and competency with sail handling and commands.

•Fluent written/oral English language.
