This is a regional role, therefore the location is flexible across the Continental European region.

Purpose of the Job

Responsible for the events sector revenue growth by way of control, development, enhancement and motivation of the events sales team throughout Continental Europe, coordinate key projects, create and execute sales strategies, optimise market penetration and manage customer accounts. Ensure contract profitability by means of optimising product pricing and yield management.

Job Accountabilities/Key Responsibilities

  • Front line management responsibility for the Events sales team throughout each of the areas in Coeur
  • Front line management responsibility for Events Project Manager and Technical Specialist
  • Manage, develop, coach and motivate the area sales team through effective, timely and relevant performance management processes
  • Support Head of Sales and Global Events Leadership to establish sales and marketing plan that aligns with their direction and guidance
  • In agreement with the SMP creates drive and manages the execution of territory sales plans
  • Set and drive the attainment of revenue targets throughout the Area sales
  • Execute on sales processes and discipline in using necessary sales tools and technologies (Salesforce)
  • Drive Sales efficiency through weekly, monthly, quarterly sales review and corrective action plan
  • Understand the market and drive sales competitors within given area
  • Forthcoming business and market trends and execute appropriate tactics in agreement with the defined strategy.
  • Initiate the training plan for sales resources and if relevant train the sales force
  • Create and maintain relationships at key levels with selected customers and accounts
  • Maximise contract revenue and profitability by optimizing customer spend
  • Lead the recruitment of his direct reports
  • Formulate, agree and implement sales and pricing “decision”
  • Responsible for contractual risk assessments and supports credit control actions following payment overdue.
  • Responsible for maintaining good relationships between sales and technical organisation supporting if need operation to deliver in the most efficient way the jobs he is responsible for.
  • Develop the product awareness of the sales team.
  • Forecast business revenue levels and report formally to Head of Sales on a monthly basis on Area sales activity, customer development, competition and KPI’s
  • Actively support Medallia response rate and NPS score improvement within his area.

Person Specification/Job Requirements

  • University degree in a Technical, Management or Business-related discipline
  • Formal training or qualification in managing a sales or marketing team
  • Good IT literacy including the use of business information systems
  • Minimum of 3-5 years sales management experience in the industrial services environment
  • Track record of setting and achieving profitable sales revenues
  • Experience in the events and entertainment industry is preferred
  • Valid driving licence
  • Good ability to read, write, and speak English is a must, other European languages are a plus
