Security Engineer-Varonis Administration

Cyber security measures are increasingly important as cyber-attacks continue to proliferate.  Identity and Access Governance plays a critical role within Cyber Security in protecting systems and applications.  For more than 42 years, Micron’s teams of dreamers, visionaries, and scientists have redefined innovation—designing and building some of the world’s most advanced memory and semiconductor technologies.

Micron’s Global Security Organization (GSO) team is focused on enabling company success with the delivery of high business value. We are seeking a Security Analyst to join our team working shoulder-to-shoulder with Micron's IAM team within several Identity and Access Management disciplines. Responsibilities and tasks:

   Varonis Administration

• Varonis deployment
• Software maintenance and health checks including patches, version updates, and troubleshooting
• Capacity planning, storage and performance management
• File server integration management
• Third party tool integration (i.e. Splunk)
• Coordinate with I&O on OS & SQL patching and downtime
• Tool installation and general use training for business area teams

Monitoring and Alerting

• Configure and maintain rules as part of Data Access Control (DAC) process in DatAlert module
• Support incident response team with security event investigation on as-needed basis
• Review alerts to identify false positives and fine tune existing rules

Reporting and Analysis

• Daily/weekly/monthly/ad-hoc reports on stale data, access related activities, etc.
• Data Classification Engine (DCE) rule creation, tuning and maintenance
• Work with IPP and CoP teams to configure content-based scans on filers and SharePoint environment
• Produce executive and leadership level status reports

Qualifications and Experience:

• 5-12 years of experience working and 3-5 years of Varonis or related technology experience.
• Functional understanding of IAM capabilities, intersection with other cyber security domains, products, vendors and industry practices.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship skills.
