Security Guard Team Lead, Commercial Sites

GardaWorld is currently looking for experienced and motivated Security Guard Team Leads to join our team.   We are in search of passionate security professionals to take on Team Lead roles at our downtown Toronto client site. 

The Team Lead is responsible for leading a small team of security guards, as well as overseeing call response and day-to-day activities to ensure compliance with applicable laws, procedures and position directives.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead on-site security team
• Assist with interior and exterior patrols
• Train, retain and develop your security team
• Enforce property rules, city bi-laws, and other applicable laws
• Deter and respond to incidents on property
• Maintain a presence to ensure the safety and security of all persons on site
• Complete reports on a regular basis
• Respond to various types of emergencies (fire alarms/elevator entrapments/medical emergencies)

What we’re looking for

• Minimum 2 years of security supervisory experience
• Valid Security Guard licence
• Above average communication skills (written and oral)
• First Aid and CPR certification preferred
• Proactive, attention-to-detail, self-motivated and team player   
• Professional attitude and ability to maintain and promote harmonious relationships with clients and staff
• Schedule flexibility
