The purpose of an Aconex BDM is to promote and sell Aconex online information management solutions. You will be required to undertake the range of business development activities including; pipeline development, opportunity management and negotiation activities across a range of large and mid-size accounts.

We are looking for an independent BDM who demonstrates a good grasp of the Software Sales industry specifically SaaS with a proven track record working with a high number of transactions. It is expected you have knowledge of sales methodologies to sell on value.

You will be someone who plans their time effectively to ensure maximum productivity for client meetings and is capable of demonstrating software. You will have the ability to identify new key clients and set goals and plans for securing new clients. Something which is important is the understanding of competitors’ products in terms of positioning, features and benefits, pricing and account acquisition strategies.

For the above, you will receive a very competitive salary package and commission structure. You will be working with the Global Number One in your field and have the opportunity to grow while working with leaders in the field.

Here are some essential requirements:

  • Consistently met and exceeded sales targets (solid career track record in sales).

  • Sold services or complex products requiring “solution sales” (i.e. selling to multiple stakeholders).

  • Experience selling SaaS applications and larger complex solutions e.g. organisation wide platform.

  • Strong experience at selling to organisational C-suite / senior leadership and at a departmental (project) level i.e. outside of the IT Group.

  • Knowledgeable of the sales process and effective sales techniques e.g. Challenger Sales Process.

  • Experience in and ability to conduct basic product demonstrations to prospects.

  • Excellent computer literacy with a variety of software packages.

  • Prospecting and networking – able to use referrals and contacts to build networks, can engage prospects in discussion naturally; comfortable cold calling and can build rapport in any circumstance, proven track record generating own leads.

Sells a subset of product or services directly or via partners to a large number of named accounts/non-named accounts/geographical territory (mainly Tier 3 accounts).

Primary job duty is to sell business applications software/solutions and related services to prospective and existing customers. Manage sales through forecasting, account resource allocation, account strategy, and planning. Develop solution proposals encompassing all aspects of the application. Participate in the development, presentation and sales of a value proposition. Negotiate pricing and contractual agreement to close the sale. Identify and develop strategic alignment with key third party influencers.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8 years applicable experience including 7 years of sales experience. Successful sales track record. Ability to penetrate accounts, meet with stakeholders within accounts. Oracle knowledge and/or knowledge of Oracle's competitors. Interaction with C level players. Team player with strong interpersonal /communication skills. Excellent communication/negotiating/closing skills with prospects/customers. Travel may be needed. Bachelor degree or equivalent.
