As a member of our Enterprise Sales team, you will be responsible for selling our Privacy-as-a-Service solutions to major customers in the UK and then ensuring those customers have a smooth transition into the customer journey. You will identify individual needs, develop and position a customised solution, and win the prospective customer as a new customer for DataGuard. 

What you will do: 

  • Sales positioning of DataGuard solutions with decision-makers and influencers on the customer side (C-level, Compliance Officer, Corporate Counsel, Data Protection Officer) 
  • Control of the entire sales process with professional use of all available sales tools  
  • Creation of sales plans for the responsible market segment or sales area  
  • Development of inbound leads generated from marketing activities  
  • Generation of own outbound leads within the target group by directly addressing contact persons to be identified 
  • Development of individual offers together with the consultants from our privacy team 
  • Successful conclusion of contracts through professional negotiations, handling of objections and participation in tenders (RFI/RFP)  
  • Documentation of all sales opportunities in the CRM system and creation of reliable forecasts of future recurring revenues (new Annual Recurring Revenue/ARR)  
  • Achievement of the individual rate of profitable revenue growth with our SaaS solutions and auditing services  
  • Development of acquired customers to increase business potential and customer loyalty 
  • Representation of DataGuard at industry events  

Other details for this role: 

  • First month of onboarding conducted at DataGuard HQ in Munich 
  • Direct reporting line into Munich-based Sales management 
  • Day-to-day collaboration with UK-based Privacy Consulting team lead 
  • Work location: initially from home office at a location that is in proximity to the greater London area and with some travel to the DataGuard office in London and to client sites


Your profile? Convince us - and our customers. 


  • Completed studies in the field of business administration, (business) informatics  
  • Native English speaker from the UK or a Commonwealth country with the right to work in the UK 
  • Amassed most of experience in the British market and therefore fully familiar with local business practices, ethics, culture and etiquette 
  • At least 5 years’ experience in B2B new customer sales of Software-as-a-Service or software products requiring explanation  
  • Solid track record of success as an account executive in the key account sector   
  • Excellent skills in addressing C-level executives and complex decision-making structures on the customer side  
  • Experience in the successful conclusion of significant and sometimes complex contracts in the mid-six-figure range   
  • Analytical competence and the ability to think abstractly combined with strength of implementation and enthusiasm, as well as confident and composed appearance at management level and in an international business partner and customer environment  
  • Clear head, heart in the right place, willingness to perform and good judgment  
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills  


  • Expertise in the field of data protection/GDPR/data security  
  • Capable to absorb content in German language 
  • Other foreign language skills  
  • Optionally, if a target industry is identified (e.g. manufacturing industry): use of a comprehensive personal network of decision-makers in the target industry
