The Industry Account Executive is one of the most strategic sales roles in SAP and we currently seek a Senior Account Executive  to manage the relationship with accounts in the Energy sector.

Our Industry Account Executives are responsible for prospecting, qualifying, selling and closing new business. The Industry Account Executive brings a Point of View to the Customer engagement, using all resources to solve customer problems with appropriate SAP solutions.


  • Establishes strong relationships based on knowledge of customer requirements and commitment to value
  • Actively understand our customer’s technology footprint, strategic growth plans, technology strategy and competitive landscape
  • Lead designated accounts, account relationships, prospect profiling and sales cycles
  • Encourage all designated accounts to become SAP references
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive business plan to address customer priorities
  • Follow a disciplined approach to maintaining a 4 rolling quarter pipeline. Keeping pipeline current and moving up the pipeline curve
  • Leverage support organisations including marketing, inside sales and partners to funnel pipeline into the assigned accounts
  • Be proficient in and bring all SAP offers to bear on sales pursuits
  • Demonstrates leadership skills to ensure account teams and partners are well versed in the account’s strategy and well positioned for all customer touch points and events.


  • Demonstrable successful business experience (8-10 years) in Sales or Consulting with complex business software / IT solutions
  • Strategic account management experience / leading multifunctional account teams
  • Knowledge of technologies in typical SAP offerings
  • Exceptional communication skills and relationship at C level
  • Strategic thinker, high degree of creativity and innovation with demonstrable examples
  • Business level English: Fluent (Dutch is considered benificial).
