Job Description




  • Citi’s Continuity of Business (COB) organization within Global Operations & Technology Risk and Control (OTRC) is seeking an experienced analyst to serve as Continuity of Business (CoB) Quality Review Senior Analyst.
  • The role of the CoB Quality Review Analyst is to conduct quality assurance (“QA”) reviews on Continuity of Business (CoB) recovery plans, Business Impact Analysis and Business functional test results and supporting evidence as well as focusing on recovery strategy viability, technology recovery artifacts with the aim of identifying both potential recovery risks and non-compliance with our Continuity of Business Policy and Standards.
  • Preferred: The ideal candidate will possess a background in Business and Technology including areas of application development, technology platforms, emerging technologies with strong communication and analytical skills with experience within the Banking or financial sector (i.e. Retail Banking, Equities, Wealth Management, Settlements, Money transfer, Cash Management, Custody Banking, Securities and Funds, Treasury Cash Management). Data analytics, application/database development and technology experience a plus

The candidate will establish the following under the direction of the Head of CoB Enterprise Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct qualitative risk based quality reviews on CoB plans & testing documentation focusing on assessing business recovery capability soundness (recovery times, functionality, impact assessment) and/or application recovery capabilities soundness (technology recovery times, database recovery points, application data storage capacity, application processing capacity, application functionality) in order to gauge recovery strategy viability
  • Conduct business and technology/supplier reviews as needed.
  • Follow up key stakeholders (e.g., Business Unit Heads, CoB Sector/Regional Leads, key stakeholders) to ensure risks are appropriately mitigated and addressed
  • Perform routine updates on monthly operations reports, project plans, status and issues / risks
  • Assist in evolving the metrics to proactively gauge effectiveness of operational resilience and readiness 
  • Support the establishment / improvement of operational processes (process improvement / redesign)
  • Leverage existing reporting to identify emerging risk scenarios (e.g. data analytics)
  • Participate on special projects as assigned




  • Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Business Recovery or IT Risk Management in global financial services industry. Technology Disaster Recovery, Service Level Availability Management and Vendor Management is a plus
  • Confirmation of business recovery capabilities (recovery strategies, testing, end user computing, etc.) and application recovery capabilities (technology recovery times, database recovery points, application data storage capacity, application processing capacity, application functionality
  • Knowledge of standard Risk Management/Control frameworks
  • Experience in supporting global or cross-business projects in a matrix organizational structure
  • Demonstrated adaptability when facing unique challenges of a dynamic organization
  • Able to take ideas from concept to execution and work within tight timeframes
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with excellent follow-up and strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organization and facilitation skills
  • Team player with strong analytical, conflict resolution and influencing skills
  • Ability to use tools to parse, merge, analyze, and present metrics and trends
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently, set own priorities, and manage multiple concurrent work streams
