Our Construction & Engineering practice is recognised as one of the leading teams in Australia.  Demand on our services has created an opportunity for a front end construction Senior Associate to join the Melbourne team. This is a unique opportunity to pursue an area of construction law that presents exciting potential for career advancement and significant development opportunities, including the possibility for international opportunities.  

The key responsibilities and requirements for this role are as follows;

Responsibilities

  • Assist contractors, principals and government clients on a range of front end matters
  • Advise on and draft construction contracts
  • Manage work streams on large domestic and international projects
  • Liaise with clients and assist in negotiations
  • Provide mentoring and supervision to Graduates, Lawyers and Associates
  • Assist with business development and marketing initiatives

Requirements

  • A minimum of five years PQE gained within a front-end construction practice
  • Demonstrated experience managing a range of front end construction matters
  • Strong client liaison skills
  • Excellent analytical, drafting and communication skills
  • Strong time management & organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects and conflicting priorities simultaneously
