Job Description

Our Real Estate practice acts for major corporations, developers, investment funds and fund managers, financiers and government bodies on all aspects of property work.  This includes acquisitions and disposals, development "from concept to completion", project management, subdivisions, title and Owners Corporation structuring, leasing, infrastructure projects, due diligence, finance and transaction structuring.

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Associate (level lawyer) to join our Real Estate practice.  Working alongside well respected property partners, Randall Gerkens and Will Grinter, this is an exciting time to join a growing practice and work on a range of complex and exciting projects. 

You will maximise the skill development of junior lawyers by supervising and coaching, and assist the partners in further building the practice by seeking out and acting on new client opportunities.

As part of a global firm, our Real Estate practice has the ability to service our clients' needs both nationally and internationally and we are able to benefit from the experience of our overseas offices that are at the forefront of some of the property industry's innovative developments.

Working as part of a collegial team, you will have the opportunity to further develop your skills as well as run your own matters with a high level of autonomy. 

What does the role involve?

  • Acting on acquisitions and disposals of development sites and built form commercial, industrial and retail assets
  • Acting on property developments and projects
  • Acting for investment funds on the repositioning of assets
  • Acting for developers and investment funds on investment structuring
  • Acting for landlords and major institutional tenants in relation to their portfolio management of commercial, industrial and retail premises
  • Acting on property aspects of infrastructure projects and M&A transactions
  • Supporting the partners in building the practice by seeking out and acting on new client opportunities
  • Contributing to the firm's learning and development program in your area of specialty
  • Maximising the skill development of junior lawyers by supervising and coaching
  • Contributing knowledge and learning resources, including precedents

About You
