OUR TEAM - PROJECTS, INFRASTRUCTURE AND CONSTRUCTION (PIC)

In the past 5 years MinterEllison's PIC team has been the lead advisor on more than 150 nationally significant construction and infrastructure projects and disputes.  We focus on client requirements in the broad areas of infrastructure, procurement and project delivery, property development, energy and natural resources, dispute resolution and prevention, contract administration and legislative and regulatory requirements.

Our client base is diverse and they come to us for innovative solutions to their individual project needs, delivered by some of the most prominent lawyers in the sector.

Examples of projects include the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre PPP, Westgate Tunnel Project, Melbourne Metro, the Melbourne Bus Services Project, Melbourne Airport, the Melbourne Exhibition Centre Expansion, as well as many other complex infrastructure projects in the transport, health, education, justice, energy and resources sectors.

The team's Partners are recognised as leaders in the construction and PPP industry for their commerciality and their depth of knowledge and expertise. A position within the team therefore offers the opportunity to learn from the best. You will work on a range of projects in Victoria and nationally alongside partners, Cameron Ross, Stewart Nankervis, Alison Sewell, Jeanette Barbaro, Owen Cooper and Peter Wood, however, there will also be close contact with other leading lawyers working in the broader national team on large scale projects within other jurisdictions.

YOUR ROLE

A great opportunity currently exists for an experienced major projects, infrastructure and construction lawyer at Senior Associate level to join us. Ideally you will have strong back end experience in major development projects and infrastructure work, claims management, and  litigation, arbitration and adjudication. We also welcome applications from experienced litigators who are looking to develop their careers in the construction sector.

WHAT YOU NEED

You will be a Senior Associate level infrastructure and construction lawyer with experience in a reputable team.

You will also have: 

  • a commercial approach to all matters;
  • excellent business acumen and a desire to strengthen and build client relationships;
  • the ability to work in a highly collaborative fast-paced environment;
  • excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; and
  • resilience and a commitment to excellence that matches our own.
