About the role

We currently have a fantastic vacancy for a senior associate with 5-7 years' experience to work within our Intellectual Property practice in Melbourne.  This dynamic, collaborative and busy practice will give you the opportunity to get involved with interesting matters across all aspects of Intellectual Property.  Working with leading IP practitioners Jonathan Feder, Tony Watson, Chris Round and Savannah Hardingham, you will assist Australian and international clients in advising, prosecting, enforcing and defending trade-marks, designs, patents, copyright and trade secrets.

What does the role involve?

You will have the opportunity to work autonomously on your own matters with minimal supervision.

  • Advise and act for local and multinational organisations
  • Document review and evidence preparation
  • Research and detailed analysis of case law and legislation
  • Court appearances
  • Participate in business development and client relationship activities
  • Contribute to the firm's learning and development program in area of specialty
  • Manage finances including assisting with estimates and preparation of invoices; collection of fees as directed.
