Overview of Market & Client Insights Team

Our mission is to provide research and insights regarding markets, clients, prospects, industries and competitors to drive revenue growth through more effective sales, marketing, and innovation. The Market & Client Insights team in India is further segmented into teams aligned with the various geography and segment business units within Willis Towers Watson The M&CI Senior Analyst role could be based in any of these teams and will focus on supporting the client management and sales organization, as well as the Lines of Business (LOBs) operating within the business unit with which the team is aligned. .  

Job Overview

The team provides a range of services from information access and delivery (utilizing a number of 3rd-party research subscriptions and WTW proprietary research and data) to primary and secondary research for more complex requests requiring multiple sources and potentially multiple methodologies. Key deliverables include market assessments, company and industry profiles, competitor and competitive analyses, and market trend reports.   The role requires a combination of strong research and analytical skills, communications skills, and business acumen in order to participate in and lead research projects as well as engage with our (internal) clients.

·          Conduct secondary market research, including identification of relevant sources of information and aggregation/synthesis of findings

·          Conduct research and information gathering for requests with quick turnaround time

·          Conduct secondary market research including industry, company and competitor research

·          Use specialized databases to support research and information needs of consultants

·          Assist team leader with stakeholder management, including regular “check-in” meetings and review of completed and ongoing work.

·          Develop familiarity with markets and WTW clients through focus on risks and business trends

Major Accountabilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

·          Proficiency in using external research sources, e.g. One Source, Hoovers, Factiva, Lexis-Nexis, Bloomberg, etc.

·          Development of PPT reports documenting study scope, methodologies, key research findings and data analysis, as needed

·          Basic project management as needed, including managing of timeline and milestones.

·          Managing several research projects simultaneously

·          Develop specific market, industry and competitive knowledge which will help in compiling research reports on specific topics, standardised offerings OR bespoke research

·          Develop and maintain strong, ongoing, productive working relationship with stakeholders for the provision of Market & Client Insights (M&CI) support services.

·          Participate in regular telephonic   discussions, meetings and email communications to   understand and interpret complex research requirements, to communicate project status, and to deliver products and services ensuring stakeholder   satisfaction
