You, as a Senior Bridge Engineer, will have a leadership role in driving this growth along with the other office leadership. The position will focus on transportation design; however, projects will include a combination of bridge structural design and bridge management services, including inspection as well as other areas. You will develop your engineering expertise as well as your business skills to enhance your career and be an integral part of WSP's successful team. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Serve as Task Lead on bridge and structure related projects
  • Perform structural computations and analysis
  • Perform structure related field work including bridge inspection
  • Preparation of high-quality documents, plans and proposals including QC/QA
  • Successfully manage numerous assignments at one time
  • Support marketing activities to include client visits and community involvement
  • Assist with proposal development including preparation of scope, fee and schedules

Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications: 
  • BSCE from an ABET Accredited Institution.
  • 5 to 7 Years of Bridge Design Experience
  • Ability to work in the United States immediately required
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in Minnesota or ability to obtain within three months
  • Good technical writing, analytical and communication skills 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in working integrally with team members to deliver clients’ projects.
  • Demonstrated experience with MnDOT and/or other state transportation agencies and local public agencies
  • Bridge inspection experience with MnDOT Bridge Inspection Team Leader certification
  • Design-Build or other Alternative Delivery experience a plus
  • Past projects using AASHTO Bridge Design specifications, State agencies bridge design manuals and bridge inspection manuals.
  • Possess a solid level of expertise to be able to complete all design on a project task and deliver a “completed work” to others for review.
  • Experience with engineering software such as:  AASHTOware Bridge, LARSA, MIDAS or other FEA, LEAP Bridge Concrete, MDX, MATHCAD, AutoCAD, MicroStation, GEOPAK, INROADS
