Short Description: In a Data Migration Lead Role, you will produce efficient and optimized solutions to
mine, extract, desensitize (i.e. Data masking) the data stored across multiple database technologies. You will lead a technical team for implementing the designed architecture and help them deliver smart data centric solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Leading, supporting and guiding the data migration technical team that you’ll lead whom will be implementing the solution from Technical perspective
Run and lead technical design workshops with various stakeholders (Client, Architects, Designers, BAs, …etc)
Working closely with various project stakeholders to understand their data migration needs
Design an effective solution to process very large volumes of data (Terabytes) within acceptable SLA timeframe as per requirements
Use your advanced database knowledge and skills to define and execute solutions to mine, extract, load, cleanse, transform, validate and be involved in exception handling and desensitize (data masking) data spread across databases of various technology types inclusive of but not limited to MongoDB, PostgreSQL Files, Mainframe
Engage into discussions with various application teams and other architects to evaluate the best possible solution amongst the viable options available
Produce Architecture, High Level and Detailed Design documents
Produce, review and maintain the backlog and stories for the technical team
Provide hands-on technical and development support to the data migration team during the implementation and testing of the solution across multiple environments
Perform technical assessment of new scope for data migration activities and produce effort estimates
Support end to end testing life cycles activities that are related to the data migration activities
Minimum 6 years of overall IT experience
Minimum 4 years in Data Design and Architecture with a key focus on data centric solution design
Minimum experience of delivering and deployment of 3 data migration projects
Strong problem-solving skills
Strong stakeholder management skills
Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously
Experience with managing resources split across multiple projects simultaneously
Strong experience in data analysis, data alignment across multiple applications, heterogeneous data identification, data masking/transformation, data mining activities
Strong skills in MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle Database, SQL and PL/SQL other NoSQL database
Strong understanding of database concepts such as referential integrity and data alignment, table partitions, data import-export mechanisms, data transfer and transformation mechanisms, data encryption / decryption & cleansing / harmonization
Strong understanding of table structures, schema, users and grants
Strong skills in designing optimized solutions to process TBs of data. Knowledge of query optimization techniques
Experience with Mainframe systems
Experience with JIRA, Sharepoint, Confluence
Experience with AWS services
Experience with Scheduling and Batch tools
Knowledge of Python & JAVA is a plus
Knowledge of data centric operations on AWS is a plus
AWS certification is a plus
