The opportunity

We are looking fora Consultant/Senior Consultant within the Technology Consulting – Data andAnalytics team inour Perth office.

EYDnA is the data and advanced analytics capability within EY Asia-Pacific, withover 500 specialist employees working across multiple industry sectors.

Weimplement information-driven strategies and systems that help grow, optimizeand protect client organizations. We go beyond strategy and provide end to endimplementation of real-life data environments and have some of the best architects,project managers, business analysts, data scientists, big data engineers,developers and consultants in the region.

Your key responsibilities

• Work closely withsenior stakeholders (both internal and external) to understand their businessrequirements to identify their challenges with data that can be addressed usingvarious Analysis techniques
• Activelyparticipate and lead sales pursuits and business development opportunities forwider data and analytics projects
• Be able to clearlyexplain data and analytics strengths and weaknesses to both technical andsenior business stakeholders
• Develop andmaintain strong effective working relationships with key management personneland internal client base including data engineers, BA’s and directly with theservices/businesses
• Be a part of aculture that focuses on delivering excellence for our clients and work with anawesome team of people to work with and access to cutting edge technologies
• Present data ingraphs, charts, tables, etc. and designing and developing relational databasesfor collecting data
• Keep a track oftrends, patterns and correlation in case of complex data sets
• Be involved in allaspects of the Project life-cycle, including Strategy, Road-Mapping,Architecture and Implementation in order to gain maximum exposure to set you upfor a successful consulting career

We’relooking for people with strong Consulting experience. You will need passion fora career in data analytics, where you will provide a consultative service on avariety of data driven decision making projects within a fast-passed consultingenvironment.

• Experienced indelivering modern data platform solutions, data governance, architectureframeworks and processes
• Broad domain experience within utilities background (power, water,energy) with the ability to link the dots across industry data sets isessential
• Proven track recordin either consulting in a data/information modelling environment in any governmentdepartment is a plus
• Previous experiencewith various tools and technologies for big data
• Good understandingand experience with the traditional data warehouse architecture principles
• Ability to lead ateam and collaborate with other business units
• A good team playerwho shows flexibility and a pro-activeness to deliver on relevant outcomes
• Strong problemsolver, someone unhappy with the status quo
• Analytical mind set/ someone that challenges assumptions
• Knowledge andexperience in end-to-end project delivery, either traditional SDLC or agiledelivery methodologies (or hybrid approaches)
• Exceptionalcommunication, documentation and presentation skills
• Prior Big4 Consulting experience is highly desirable  

• Experience inengaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong consultingexperience and background, including engaging directly with clients
• Experience in a deliveryrole on Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, Big Data or analyticsprojects
