The Opportunity:
Our successful, market leading Transaction Services Advisory team helps clients navigate through our ever changing commercial landscape through expert vendor/financial due diligence, and bid support. This team make up part of the wider Deals team who collectively bring deep industry experience and international networks to help businesses succeed from deal concept to deal close.
As a   Senior Consultant , your impact will be seen in your ability to foster strong relationships with our clients while providing technically sound due diligence and other transaction related services.
This opportunity will see you join a well established and forward thinking team of experts who will assist you build your technical skill set. Your primary focus as a Senior Consultant will be to ensure the highest level of service delivery on all engagements.  You will focus on building lasting relationships as a trusted advisor to an interesting client base, including international corporates, and global and domestic private equity firms. Responsibilities will include:
  • Client delivery
  • Mentoring members of staff
  • Identifying key value drivers and driving financial analysis on buy and sell side due diligence engagements
  • Developing and writing due diligence reports
  • Investigative accountant work on public offerings
  • Working directly with other 3rd party advisers
  • Conducting sector research and assisting with development of thought leadership

The brief is simple...
You will have relevant experience in transaction services with a minimum of 2 years years experience across financial due diligence . You're commercially focused and passionate about understanding businesses and their unique value drivers. You thrive in a collaborative and innovative culture and want to join a firm that values problem solvers, the kind of people who reimagine the possible for their clients and key stakeholders.
Your colleagues can vouch that you have:
  • Strong analytical skills and commercial awareness
  • Knowledge and experience in providing financial due diligence and other transaction-related services to corporate firms and private equity fund clients.
  • Experience in assessing a target company’s quality of earnings, sales performance, net assets and cash flows.
  • Knowledge and experience in advising clients on sale and purchase agreements including commercial and pricing negotiations
  • General knowledge of technical accounting areas such as GAAP & IFRS reporting and business combinations
  • Business writing (due diligence and proposal) and Excel skills (experience with financial modelling would be advantageous)
  • Act with integrity and show care for the people you work with
  • Demonstrate strong behaviours in teamwork, knowledge sharing, building and maintaining relationships
  • Have strong technical capabilities in your area of expertise and a real desire to continue to learn and develop.
  • Completed a relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting/Commerce/Business or related qualification. CA qualification required. Interest in further studies in CFA, Master of Finance, FINSIA or similar discipline would be advantageous
