Senior Developer

The Andrew Alliance team is advancing science with a new class of high-performance, easy-to-use robots that dramatically improve the repeatability, performance, and speed of liquid handling. This new approach, and Andrew+, the flagship robot, are winning awards and rapidly transforming bench research in hundreds of pharmaceutical, diagnostic, and academic laboratories worldwide, by eliminating routine pipetting errors and time-consuming manual efforts.

Andrew Alliance is a Waters company (the world's leading specialty measurement company) and is looking for a Senior Developer to support the development of the SaaS platform called OneLab (www.onelab.com), allowing users to design, execute, monitor, record and track biological experiments, integrated within the existing laboratory workflow and interacting with the Andrew Alliance robots.

As Senior Developer at Andrew Alliance, you will join the OneLab R&D Team based in Paris (FR). You will work in a fast-paced, agile environment and engage in technical discussions, participate in technical designs, demonstrate problem-solving abilities, and present and share ideas through global collaboration.

• Participate to the product conception, providing a technical point of view and advocating new technologies whenever required
• Write code alongside the other members of the team - contributing technical expertise and project guidance
• Direct Involvement into sprints - from specifications to delivery, from production to debugging
• Write-up of english documentation and definition of unit tests
• Expected mentoring role by guidance of junior developers towards success

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or other related discipline is preferred, equivalent work experience required 

Experience:

• Solid recent experience as a lead developer within an agile environment
• Experience on SaaS product development
• Experience working with distributed teams.

Competencies:

• Excellent skills in Javascript and Typescript
• Knowledge of frameworks like Angular or equivalent is a must (currently, the stack is in Angular 10)
• Experience with Node.js
• Experience with AWS cloud technologies, as well as containerization and container orchestration technologies (Docker and Kubernetes).
• Experience with IoT technologies and instance messaging technologies (like RabbitMQ)
• Knowledge of developing SaaS applications in regulated environments is a plus.
• Deep understanding of software engineering best practices (including CI/CD - TDD/BDD - DevOps).
• Fluent in English in speaking and writing are a must, any additional language skill is a plus.
• Self-starting, technically focused and team-oriented personality
• Good communication skills
