The Service Layer solution architect responsibilities at a high level include, developing the solution Blueprint of the PIM, conceptual and functional designs which requires strong functional understanding of product management setup rules and its data quality, workflows, product hierarchies and lifecycle. Architect is responsible for functional design, mapping of API to PIM process and detailing them. Architect will be working with the development team in estimating scope of current and future work, leading project work to ensure timely delivery ensuring that the customers' expectations are exceeded – thoughtful development, quality and consistency is a must.

Must be a self-starter, be creative and open minded to out of the box ideas and be able to take the initiative on tasks and assignments. A proven background in project management and business process optimization is also required. Architects with CRM experience and background may also be considered for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead API technical strategy and roadmap initiatives while aligning the strategy to the business objectives
• Audit – perform a full audit of the PIM, APIs and subsequent systems, detailing and presenting findings to partners.
• Ensuring the consistency of user experience across all the application where PIM is consumed and drive standardization.
• Working with connecting teams which includes web, marketing, and CRM to stay aligned with strategic business goals and customer experience benchmarks
• Documentation – back to front overview of the business processes and technical equivalents, API Specifications, environments for development, staging, QA and Production.
• Documentation – PIM structure, workflows and permissions.
• Availability to review development requirements and provide mentorship on development tasks assisting partners in approvals and signoff.
• Review and recommend design and functional improvements as uncovered through the documentation/audit process
• Specify and convey requirements for code and integration points to the development and QA teams ensuring quality development

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience as a solution architect working with APIs and product information management systems (CRM experience will count positively toward a successful candidacy)
• Excellent time management and organization skills with abilities to triage and prioritize
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to take the complex and explain in simple non-technical terms
• Background in API development and ability to provide oversight of API design and development.
• Proficient with API standardization, flexibility, optimization, granularity techniques.
• Expertise with popular API Management platforms.
• Understanding of RESTful web services, API and JSON
• Experience building API design specifications in OAS V (Swagger) format
• Background/understanding in Agile Scrum and Kanban methods of development
• Experienced working in cross cultural teams
• Bachelor’s degree, Masters is a plus
