Position Description

Senior Engineer – Plant Automation and Control Systems

POSITION PURPOSE

Responsible for the development, implementation and support of Wonderware System Platform / SQL Server based Factory Management and Control Systems (FMS) within CHEP service centers.

MAJOR / KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• System development and configuration in Wonderware System Platform, InTouch, and MS SQL Server.

• Works hand in hand with Process Engineering on mechanical, electrical and controls integration with the FMS.

• Analyzes business problems, develops solutions and implements value-added technical and non-technical solutions to those challenges.

• Maintains a strong positive relationship between the business entities and the Engineering organization.

• Proposes and delivers systems and services that add increasing value to the business on time and within budget.

• Embraces and enforces CHEP FMS standards with new and existing equipment vendors to support rapid implementations.

• Provides plant support for FMS during the day, off-hours, weekends, and holidays as required.

• Select service providers as required

CHALLENGES

• Requires working across time zones and cultures and flexibility to attend meetings outside of normal daytime working hours due to global nature of the team.

• Expected travel is 40%

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor degree in electrical engineering from an accredited program and 5+ years of related experience in manufacturing environment

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 3 years demonstrated project experience developing and implementing Wonderware System Platform 4.0 (IAS 3.1/InTouch 10.1) and System Platform 2012R2/2014R2 .

• Experience using SQL Server 2008/2012 databases, stored procedures, SQL Reporting Services, and .NET.

• Understanding of Rockwel
