Senior Financial Accountant - Statutory Reporting

Reporting to the Head of Financial Reporting at EMEA headquarters in Cherrywood, Dublin, this role will be an integral part of the Accounting team on a day to day basis and will be expected to leverage from and work with other key Dell sites such as Austin, Texas, Bratislava, Slovakia and Bucharest, Romania.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Statutory Accounting process for Dell Bank International DAC
  • Maintain the IFRS statutory books in an efficient manner with a timely and transparent close process
  • Ensuring all General Accounting transactions are recorded in line with the relevant accounting standards
  • Assist in the management of the interim and final external audit , production of the Annual Financial Statements ; p ortfolio analytics
  • Ensure that reconciliations are completed in line with internal reconciliations policy
  • Co-ordinate KPI process and outsourced SLA process and i dentify process improvements and implement
  • Manage the monthly intercompany re-charge and settlement process, the reconciliation of Primary (US GAAP) v Statutory (IFRS) books and the Financial Reporting Risk Management process
  • Facilitate month-end calls with relevant stakeholders, as well as p rovide support to the Head of Financial Reporting and the Financial Controller as required and to the Regulatory Reporting team

Qualifications and Key Requirements:

  • 5+ years as a qualified accountant and currently accredited by ACA, ACCA or  CIMA
  • Understanding of the high tech industry or financial services is desirable
  • Proficiency in core financial systems e.g. Oracle, Excel etc.
  • Ability to use own initiative and develop solutions based on business parameters
  • Comfortable working in a fast moving and dynamic international business
  • Strong financial and business acumen
  • Communication skills, time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
