Senior Front End Developer

We are looking to bolster our Melbourne team with a skilled and motivated Senior Front End Developer.

The Role

• Execute frontend development tasks across a spectrum of web and app product environments
• Contribute in the technical design and implementation of new features and changes to existing features within established codebases
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs, and optimise for maximum speed and scalability
• Work collaboratively and proactively in a multidisciplinary team, with both internally and our client’s engineering teams

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in front-end web development
• Fluent understanding of semantic HTML5 and CSS3
• Understanding of CSS pre-processing platforms, such as Sass, PostCSS
• Familiarity of build tools like Gulp, Grunt and/or Webpack
• Sound understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, (including jQuery)
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates and AJAX
• Experience with React web applications as well as with Redux
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as GIT
• Ability to work as part of a dynamic team
• Willing to learn new skills and share ideas
• A highly motivated, productive and collaborative approach to your work

Not essential but a bonus

• Experience in REact or Vue.js
• Experience developing WCAG compliant websites/applications for government clients (Level AA)
• Experience working in headless CMS platforms such as Craft
