Summary: Incumbent would be responsible for hardware design – wearable technology
You will be key technical lead in all areas of electrical hardware design such as hardware architecture, EE component selection, PCB layout & construction, peripheral interfaces, manufacturability, serviceability and reliability
Manage and execute all aspects of discrete electronic/technology development through all facets of the product development cycle
Detail design work using electronic hardware development software
Use CAD for the design and support of PCB layouts and complex circuit board assemblies
Translate system performance and operation specifications into hardware requirements, component selection, design and test specifications
Lead design changes and reviews
Provide technical support to ensure a successful launch of a product
Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
Work with the sales department and customers to collect design inputs
Work with vendors to collect feasibility information
Collaborate with software and firmware development team
This function extends to the areas of resolving quality issues with new and existing products, including relevant customer quality forms and interaction with customers and vendors
Support the hardware and software development, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, technical documentation and operations teams through the development process
Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience.
Strong electrical engineering and science fundamentals
Strong schematic capture and PCB layout design experience
Hands-on prototype bring-up, debugging, and functional verification experience
Excellence in the following areas: system integration and validation, analog design, signal and power integrity, embedded system design, various communication protocols (especially PCIe, USB, SPI, I2C and UART).
Strong understanding or experience with one or more of the following component technologies: RF design, BLE and other wireless technology, semiconductor manufacturing, sensor design and integration and IC packages.
5+ years experience bringing electronic devices to market
Strong analog and mixed signal circuit design fundamentals
Demonstrated success launching products in a regulated environment
A Bachelor's, Master's or PhD of Engineering in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or Computer Engineering or equivalent is preferred. Additional study in Physics, Material Science, or Chemistry is a plus.
