About the role
We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to provide technical and design leadership to the IT Infrastructure Team, as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer you'll have exposure to over 35 network locations and multiple datacenters distributed across Regional Western Australia and have the privilege of providing technical leadership to a highly motivated and high performance team.
You will;

Design, Plan, implement and maintain corporate data communications network services, components and associated infrastructure.

Create and maintain technical documentation, reports and records regarding infrastructure solutions.

Provide escalated (3rd level) technical support, troubleshooting and fault rectification of high level technical issues related to network equipment and services.

Analyse tenders, supervise acceptance tests and commission communications systems and equipment.

Act as an interface between the organisation and suppliers/carries/vendors regarding high level technical issues and carrier billing.

Provide guidelines for training in the use and maintenance of networking equipment, systems and facilities.

Monitor the performance of the organisations communications carries/network providers in relation to established service level agreements and business needs.

Test, implement, monitor and tune networking software/hardware to ensure optimum systems performance and highlight potential issues.

Manage the analysis of network traffic data and providing recommendations on performance improvements to network infrastructures as appropriate.

Participate in corporate change control procedures and methodologies.

What you’ll bring to the team

Extensive experience and specialist skills in the configuration and maintenance of networking/communications infrastructure, including the ability to support a variety of technologies.

Good knowledge of industry standards and regulations relevant to the data communications/networking.

Strong understanding of emerging technologies in the communications sphere and their potential commercial applications.

Strong skills in Router Hardware/Software, Switch Hardware/Software, IP Protocols, Routing Protocols, Firewalls.

Intermediate Project Management skills and an ability to prioritise multiple tasks.

Excellent troubleshooting/problem solving skills.

Advanced operational knowledge of networking systems and software covering both Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN).

Excellent written and oral communication skills couple with customer service orientation.
