Senior Internal Control Manager (ICM) for development and implementation of new Internal Control Methodology and Tool

How to contribute to our vision

  • You co-lead and support SGRE in the development and implementation of a new Internal Control System which includes Internal Controls over Financial Reporting for a large international corporation
  • You coordinate and align the overall project interacting with Internal Control Management, Corporate Function Heads, External Auditors and External Consultants
  • You support, and on a temporary basis can act as a regional IC Manager
  • You are an important counterpart regarding Internal Control topics and foster a culture of trust and support towards the Business, Regions/ Countries and Corporate Functions
  • You ensure business proximity of the Internal Control organization and drive continuous improvement
  • You ensure ongoing support and training of the organization for Internal Controls
  • You act as an advisor to management on Internal Control topics

What you need to make a difference

Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for…

  • You have a university degree in business administration, economics or similar
  • You have a total work experience of at least 8 years in different functions such as Internal Control, external/ internal audit, accounting & controlling and operating businesses
  • You have experience in Internal Control of at least 5 years and are familiar with the Internal Control methodology of corporate organizations
  • You have strong and proven project management skills
  • You have a solid knowledge of corporate organizations and processes
  • You have excellent communication skills with a strong command of English (written and spoken)
  • Your coaching and motivation skills enable you being a valuable partner for the Management, the Business and the Internal Control team
  • Flexibility to travel, as required

This role can be based either in Hamburg, Germany or in Bilbao, Spain. The hiring manager is the global head of Governance and Control.
