Team Overview

Managed Services provides an innovative and cost-effective solution to the delivery of large-scale review and/or processing activity across multiple industries, geographies, and processes. Managed Services operation is experienced in but not limited to its expertise in Financial services such as KYC, Banking Services, Fraud Detection, Data Lineage, Internal Controls, Regulatory Risk Assessments and Regulatory Reporting. It brings sound regulatory insight and puts forward an efficient operational team that is driven to succeed.

The position in discussion is with the Managed Services team at KPMG Global Services (KGS), which is KPMG’s Global Delivery Hub and is an integral part of the firm’s strategy to enhance innovation, build scalability, and improve profitability, globally.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Senior SME is responsible for working with our clients in the US /UK market to assist them in host of allied activities including but not limited to Regulatory risk and compliance, Data Governance, including Data Lineage and Internal Controls and AML/KYC regulatory reporting.

You will be expected to deliver against targets on both productivity and quality.

You would also be expected to:

    • Understand the client’s policies and procedures and its application on engagement delivery.

    • Understand client’s key processes through which the data flows.

    • Possess the ability to identify in-scope application/ EUCs that support key processes.

    • Possess the ability to identify and document all data elements that are required to be fed as input data for all in-scope application and EUCs

    • PrepareTraining Documents to train the team on key concepts around EUC identification and key data input

    • Draft Process Documentation/Flowcharts and creating SOP’s, wherever deemed as appropriate

    • Evaluate the design adequacy of in-scope applications and/ or EUCs against best practices and/ or client’s data governance policies

    • Assist the client in remediation activities to ensure that the in-scope applications and/ or EUCs meet established control standards

    • Evaluate the operating effectiveness of in-scope applications and/ or EUCs with respect to established control standards

    • Provide guidance to the entire team in the day to day work of EUC identification, key data input, design assessment and test of operating effectiveness

    • Perform Quality check on the work delivered by Analysts and Senior Analysts

    • Support client service delivery by consistently meeting quality guidelines within the established turnaround times (or allotted budget) for assigned requests.

    • Manage direct client interaction, wherever required, with guidance from Engagement Managers

Job Requirements

Mandatory Skills

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree from reputable universities with an overall 3-5 years of relevant experience in internal controls and data governance

  • Attention to detail, excellent data collation and analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills. (Written & Verbal)

  • Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, self-motivation and possess an enquiring mind

  • Demonstrate good team working skills and the ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
