As a Retailer expert within our Partner Programme (Merchant Operations), you are passionate about Retailers and fashion, fully understanding the current market trends and the specific needs and challenges facing Retailers today. You are visionary, creating the Retailer strategy and in turn translating this into tangible plans and processes that can unlock growth for Retailers trading on Partner Program. You are the point of contact in Zalando for consolidating and leveraging Retailer knowledge. You have people management experience and love training and acting as a role model for the team.

WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED

  • You have the ability to transfer your deep knowledge of the industry and platform trends (in the retail/market place sector) into concrete Zalando initiatives.
  • As a leader you will support your team, coaching and developing the team members by identifying their strengths, development areas and training needs.
  • Your primary goal is to expand the retailer business, building strong strategic relationships with them. You champion their cause within Zalando and are the expert on all aspects concerning Retailers.
  • You will partner up with technology teams to drive automation and scalability across the organization. You will work cross-functionally to identify, prioritize and implement strategies to help drive our Retailer business and to maximize revenue potential.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Experienced in a Retailer/Marketplace environment and/or a consultant/business development background with a minimum of 7 to 10 years work experience.
  • Self-starter who will take ownership of projects and business problems to a successful result. You are not phased by ambiguity and are able to cut through, identifying opportunities and in turn developing structured and defined roadmaps.
  • A salesperson, analytically outstanding, you love working with figures yet taking a pragmatic approach to complex requirements and issues.
  • Excellent communication skills (in English, German is a plus), you can manage stakeholders effectively, taking over presentations and negotiations.
