The College of Health and Human Sciences drives the twin goals of teaching and research and offers a broad range of innovative programs that prepare students for a diverse range of career paths through study at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The College is responsible for teaching and research in the fields of social and health sciences and practice such as social work, psychology, pharmacology, medical laboratory science, clinical and biomedical science, and exercise and sports science. The College also provides foundation education in a range of biological, chemical and biomedical sciences and offers a range of undergraduate, Honours and postgraduate programs.


As a Senior Lecturer in Clinical Psychology , you will contribute to teaching in both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in psychology, clinical psychology and related areas, as well as the supervision of students internal and external professional and clinical placements. Supervision of students is conducted at the College's Wellness Centre, where you will take an active role in helping manage the mental health aspects of the centre. The role will require you to possess the ability and commitment to teach innovatively, engagingly and effectively, using highly developed communication and presentation skills. You will also actively encourage proactive thinking within the discipline about how research teaching and learning, policy development and professional activities may be improved.


As a Research Active Academic position, you will also undertake research, and apply for internal and external funding to support and develop further research.

Completion of a PhD or Professional Doctorate qualification in Psychology is a requirement of this role as is evidence of academic excellence, supported by recent contributions to research within the discipline.
