Crop and Digital Solutions  is responsible for developing and scaling new “on-farm” digital and integrated tools and solutions, which will work toward driving a more efficient and transparent food system.

About the Role

The Senior Manager, DataOps and Data Platforms will lead a global team of Data Engineers in managing data through its lifecycle.

This is a key role that will transform how we manage and process our data. Manage our different data platforms and create a scalable world-class data estate that allows Yara to complete its transformation to a data-driven organization. Ensure we have clean, healthy, high-quality data, with an established data lineage, available for our research and data science teams.

You‘ll require an understanding of technology and processes for managing data and the ability to interface with senior and executive leaders within the data organization and across the company.  This is a pivotal role to build out and transform our global data management and operations team.

Responsibilities

.

• Build and manage a high performance, highly scalable data estate across Yara
  • Manage the different data platforms and related technology
  • Manage the data engineering teams
• Work closely with the different data Scientists and research units around the world, and with the Senior Manager, Data Management to achieve and build Yara’s global data ambitions.
• Ensure data quality and health and operate the global Yara Data catalog and data governance tooling
• Ensure compliance with global data privacy regulations and data governance standards

Profile

.

• Proven experience leading as a senior leader in data engineering, data operations, and data quality management
• You will have a strong understanding of data management fundamentals, including concepts such as data dictionaries, data models, validation, and reporting.
• You have experience and a thorough understanding of data privacy frameworks such as GDPR
• Able to manage a team in using data tools to create validation rules (both simple and complex)
• Able to lead teams in building dynamic dashboards, reports, and presentations on data quality and data status
• Experience managing data through its lifecycle (especially sourcing, validating, and deploying)
• Experience with a wide variety of data infrastructure and tooling
• Ability to manage complex relationships in a matrix environment and strong stakeholder management skills
• Willingness to travel internationally when required
