The Red Hat Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) team is looking for an experienced Senior Manager to join our presales solutions architecture practice. In this role, you will guide, coach, and mentor the ANZ regional solutions architecture managers and teams to build new capabilities and achieve the regional goals and objectives. You will provide thought leadership to create new engagement strategies that match customer and partner requirements and expectations as customers transform their businesses and adopt cloud technologies and new application development and deployment models. As a senior member of the Red Hat technical sales management team, you will create a highly productive and consistent solutions architecture practice that lives and promotes Red Hat’s core values, delivers industry-leading solutions to its customers and partners, and integrates well with Red Hat’s sales management, marketing, consulting, engineering, and support teams. You’ll need to have excellent communication and people skills, as you will be a crucial part of the Red Hat sales team, interacting with both internal and external stakeholders on a daily basis. You’ll also need to have a balance of technical expertise, passion for open source, and a thorough understanding of business processes and IT problems faced at the enterprise level by our customers. The position offers a competitive base salary plus commission.


  • Provide thought leadership and implementation strategies for the ANZ presales solutions architecture practice
  • Build, lead, and mentor a team of highly skilled and motivated presales solutions architects
  • Facilitate and streamline hiring, onboarding, enablement, and capability-building programs and processes
  • Build solutions capabilities for presales phases, working closely with ANZ specialist teams and partner, sales, and services stakeholders
  • Achieve key business metrics and sales targets
  • Promote close collaboration with multiple Red Hat’s business functions and ensure adequate technical resource coverage across ANZ
  • Help develop reusable methodologies, tools, and capabilities that combine Red Hat’s offerings and services into solutions to solve complex customer challenges
  • Collaborate with Red Hat’s Partners and Alliances management on partner engagement strategies
  • Work with Red Hat’s director of technology and presales for ANZ to help ensure consistency of strategy and implementation across ANZ

  • 2-5 years of experience leading and developing a team of technical managers
  • 5-7 years of experience working as an individual contributor in technical solutions sales and architecture in an enterprise software and services context
  • Proven record of building, leading, and motivating successful presales or engineering teams
  • Solid technical background working as an IT professional and the ability to relate and earn credibility with a technical team
  • Experience with business development and go-to-market strategies in the enterprise software and services space
  • Expertise in either application development, middleware, cloud, or infrastructure platforms
  • History of developing relationships at engineering, commercial, and executive levels throughout organizations
  • Balance of strategic, tactical, technical, and creative thinking skills
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and documentation skills
  • Bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent technical training
  • Willingness to travel
