Located in Dublin, Cruiserath Biologics Campus, a one billion Multi-Product Cell Culture Biologics Manufacturing facility plays a central role in the Global Product Development and Supply (GPS) network as the company’s first European biologics manufacturing facility.   This state of the art facility will produce multiple therapies for the company’s growing biologics portfolio. Global Biologics Laboratory (GBL) responsible for the release testing of Biologics Drug product for the network, is also based on the Cruiserath Biologics Campus.

The Role

Bristol Myers Squibb is looking to recruit a permanent Senior Manager, Scientific Advisor - Cardiovascular, Ireland. Reporting to the Director, Disease Area Head Innovative Medicines, the Senior Manager, Scientific Advisor - Cardiovascular will have the opportunity to work with Thought Leaders in the Field of cardiovascular at a local and national level. The successful candidate will also have the accountability of managing the Irish medical plans.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide Healthcare Professionals with scientific expertise regarding BMS medicines in response to their expressed needs 
• Communicate scientific information to Healthcare Professionals in both group and individual settings to address their specific needs 
• Gain insight into the medical needs of particular diseases by maintaining and developing scientific data exchange with Healthcare Professionals 
• Support medical educational and scientific activities by working with Thought Leaders and supporting Speakers with disease area and product-relevant resources 
• Identify clinical trial sites for BMS-sponsored trials and facilitate investigator-initiated research 

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills Required:

• Physician, pharmacist, advanced science degree, or PhD, (candidates with a science degree will also be considered if accompanied by some research experience or NHS/industry experience) 
• Communicating data to Healthcare Professionals in a clear, easy to understand manner 
• Experience working with Thought Leaders and expert clinicians
• Quickly and comprehensively learning about new subject areas and health care environments 
• Knowledge of clinical trial design and process 
• Knowledge of the NHS and the pharmaceutical industry 
• Good English language skills, spoken and written 
• Good Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills 
• Full driving licence is required
