Job Description


  • Formulate and implement Employee Benefits claims strategy and development plan to achieve the company objectives for profitability and growth;
  • Monitor & approval the claims within the pre-set authority and provide appropriate commentary, recommendations and justifications to senior management to seek for approval when necessary;
  • Manage and supervise the daily operations of the Employee Benefits claims team;
  • Complaint handling and resolving disputes;
  • Network provider recruitment and management;
  • Provide quality customer service to clients & stakeholders regarding Employee Benefits claims issues;
  • Actively improve processes and efficiency using service benchmarks and analytical data;
  • Attend service meetings with stakeholders; clients and staff benefit sessions;
  • Work closely with admin team for smooth operations of claims administration;
  • Develop high quality work teams with clear accountabilities and performance expectations to ensure ability to deliver high performance;
  • Implement the Group compliance policy in order to adhere to the relevant local and Group compliance procedures and obtain satisfactory audit and regulators’ review reports;
  • Assist to review the cost and expenditure of the teams under the incumbent’s supervision;
  • Manage ad hoc projects as required.

Requirements

  • Degree holder and preferably with insurance-related qualifications, e.g. FLMI, ICA, ACII/ANZIIF;
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in medical & life claims and with 3+ years in managerial positions;
  • Understand the impact of market forces and regulatory issues on the insurance industry;
  • Can compare the company's insurance practices to other organizations;
  • Can describe key industry benchmarks and relate them to own organization or functional specialty;
  • Strong analytical and problem solving, self-motivated, excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Ability to be multi-task and work under pressure;
  • Good team player and self-starter; able to interact with people at all levels;
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, proficiency in Putonghua is preferable
  • Familiar with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
