A Senior Manager, Safety & Security \- South East Asia and Japan, Korea & Micronesia manages security, health & safety, food safety, fire safety, public health and disability compliance within South East Asia \(SEA\) and Japan, Korea & Micronesia \(JKM\)\. You will assist in investigations and provide advice for the protection of company’s owned and managed assets, analyse statistical data to allocate resources for high risk areas\. You will assist the Director, Safety & Security \- Asia Pacific \(APAC\) with analysis and response to governmental regulatory initiatives\. You will be the Crisis Coordinator for the region\.
What will I be doing?
As a Senior Manager, Safety & Security \- SEA & JKM, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
+ Besides Leading New Openings and Trading Hotels, you will support Pre\-Opening Hotels regarding fire safety, food safety, health and safety, disability and security requirements, as needed\.
+ Back Up Crisis Coordinator for APAC\.
+ Establish and revise procedures, policies and processes to include new or modified regulatory requirements\.
+ Monitor Safety & Security Program and Strategic Priorities Asia Pacific\.
+ Coordinate special projects as directed by Director, Safety & Security \- APAC, ensure communication plan from the Director and Senior Leadership is implemented\.
+ Direct the development and administration of Risk Management for APAC\.
+ Direct health and safety, fire risk assessments \(as applicable\) in studies of selected locations and HACCP reviews as required\.
+ Ensure legal compliance with safety & security related requirements including fire safety, occupational health and safety, food safety, housing and trading standards\.
+ Maintain up to date knowledge of new or revised legislation as appropriate and current guidance and to ensure procedural and training documents are updated from the relevant authorities\.
+ Represent the company in related industry and regulatory affairs and trade associations when assigned\.
+ Establish and revise procedures, policies and processes to include new or modified regulatory requirements\.
+ Represent the company to customers in group contracts and provide support to Operations including statutory specialist training, vendor approval and crisis management\.
+ Liaise with enforcement authorities on company issues\.
+ Establish and enforce policies and procedures that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the Company\.
+ Support Pre\-Opening Hotels regarding fire safety, food safety, health and safety, disability and security requirements, as needed\.
+ Leading Critical Path for New Openings and Trading Hotels\.
+ Assess and oversee investigations at corporate and owned and managed properties, assign safety/security managers and supervise accordingly\.
+ Manage the hotel audit programme at agreed frequencies with appropriate follow\-up reports, benchmarking and recommendations to the Director, Safety & Security \- APAC, hotel GMs and Operations Vice President for assigned hotels\.
+ Oversee the implementation and use of the Safety & Security Profile/audit tool for hotels\.
+ Assess actual performance against standards to determine whether the department is on target to reach its goals and take corrective actions as necessary\.
+ Assist in prosecution efforts resulting from investigations\.
+ Implement safety and security programmes, projects, policies, procedures, and related statutory fire safety, health and safety and food safety training for assigned hotels\.
+ Threat Monitoring and assist hotels with counter terrorism response to increased threat levels\.
+ Coordinate and assist teams as part of the crisis management plan\.
+ Facilitate Safety & Security Workshops when required\.
+ Provide technical advice and project management services \(CCTV, locks, access control, fire safety, asset protection\) for system improvements, upgrades and new build projects\.
+ Review CCTV new and upgrade projects\.
+ Manage effective partnerships with Legal, Technical Services, Brand Management, Human Resources, Hotel Operations, Risk Management and lead authorities\.
+ Review and make appropriate adjustments in activities and expenses throughout the fiscal year to ensure optimal financial results\.
