We have an outstanding career opportunity for a  Manufacturing Engineer  (Aerospace Composites) to join an Aircraft Manufacturing leader in  San Diego, CA .

Position requires U.S. Citizenship.
We are looking to hire an Engineer for both 1st and 2nd shift.

Job Responsibilities :
  • Lead a team of Manufacturing Engineers and Technicians on multiple projects (including prototype and pilot builds) and develop new manufacturing technology while adhering to industry regulations and quality requirements.
  • Work continuous improvement projects to achieve quality control objectives, resolve production problems, and maximize product reliability.
  • Evaluate the accuracy of production and testing equipment and engineering drawings; identify non-conforming products or materials; determine root cause of issues and implement corrective/preventative actions plans as required.
  • Develop manufacturing methods and labor utilization standards; estimate production costs and effects of design changes; perform cost analysis to promote efficiency. Review engineering designs and changes to ensure manufacturability.
  • Utilize Lean Manufacturing methodologies and lead Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA).
Job Qualifications :
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field and 4+ years of experience in Aerospace Composite Manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of processing and materials, engineering and manufacturing concepts, principles and practices.
  • Project Engineering, Lean Manufacturing, and prior leadership experience a MUST.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external groups; strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence teams and decision-makers.
  • A knack for innovation; experience developing new concepts and applying them accurately in an evolving environment.
