About the role:
We are looking for a Senior Operations Manager within our European Distribution Center in Kerkrade.
In this role you are responsible for the full outbound operations in the Kerkrade distribution center. As Operations Manager you make to connection between our strategy, employees and customers.
On a daily base you ensure that more than 55.000 products are sent to customers direct in Europe as well as to other distribution centers and distributors in the rest of the world.  You will be a point of contact for several stakeholders within our organization. 

Next to this direct operational responsibility you also lead and manage, through supervisors, the departments dispatch, returns, marketing/services and inventory control. (in total approx. 210 employees).
The role is a good blend of responsibilities and requires a seasoned manager with broad experience within Supply Chain and as a people leader.

Your responsibilities include:

• Drive operations to meet budgets and metrics while compliant with all regulations and procedures;
• Manage, lead, coach and develop your teams to establish a team of motivated employees;
• Meet quality objectives by ensuring compliance to quality systems and partner with quality function as necessary;
• Member of the management team of the EDC;
• Develop and maintain effective Customer relationship;
• Create an environment of continuous improvement, teamwork and commitment to doing things right;
• Adjust team strategies to suit evolving customer requirements and opportunities for improvement;
• Member of the management core team;
• Responsible for implementation and execution of Boston Scientific operational excellence system in the warehouse and supporting departments in scope;
• Make, monitor and execute strategic plans for responsible departments contributing the global logistics strategy;
• Ensure safe work environment in accordance with company EH&S guidelines;
• Engages actively with other stakeholders upstream and downstream in the supply chain (demand planning, engineering, quality, freight, customer care) to have one end to end streamlined process;
• Customer centric mindset.

What we are looking for:

• 7 years + experience in managerial role;
• Experience in an International Supply Chain environment;
• Fluent in English;
• Proven people leader whom coaches and develops their team;
• Project management skills;
• Experience with warehouse management systems.
