The EMEA IT team consists of more than 150 IT professionals of which about 80 are based in the Netherlands. The IT department is divided into several teams being; CRM, Infrastructure, Business Intelligence & Quality Systems, SAP & Operations and HRIS. They all partner closely together with internal customers all over the world. To strengthen our regional IT Infrastructure & Operations (I&O) team, we are looking for a Sr. Principal IT Architect.
A Day in the Life The Regional I&O team is responsible for Regional Service Delivery, Enterprise Operations and Mergers & Acquisitions. Their scope includes business consultancy and demand intake/governance, architecture & design mapping, and project delivery in collaboration with the Global I&O product teams and partners. The team understands the business in a local/regional context. They collaborate closely with regional BRM organizations and business stakeholders to ensure that the I&O services meet customer expectations in the regions. Additionally, the team knows the Medtronic global standards and policies. They leverage solutions from the core as much as possible and focus on co-creation of customer centric solutions delivering business outcomes. They tailor solutions to the needs in the periphery when necessary. As a Sr. Principal IT Technologist, you join a team of experienced technologists and architects, and you operate as a consultant towards our business to determine requirements and present our technological recommendations. You translate these recommendations in work delivery packages for our delivery teams and also provide high level guidance to these teams. On top of that, you are expected to work on technology innovation, and collaborate with vendors or partners to be successful in this space. Key deliverables include: Performing Infrastructure assessments in EMEA and other regions if needed, Promoting global I&O services towards our customers, Assessing business projects and providing guidance on architecture aspects, Interacting, presenting and negotiating with senior leadership, Acting as a regional partner within the Global I&O organization. Must Haves Bachelor / Master degree in a relevant discipline +10 years of experience with enterprise environments Experience as an analyst, engineer, developer, or architect responsibility and knowledge in two or more of the following areas: Medical devices and systems IoT (embedded) devices and systems Cloud systems architecture and security Enterprise and local network infrastructure security Large-scale application architecture and security Mobile device application architecture and security Data protection architectures for data at rest and in transit Risk assessments and security regulatory requirements Nice to Haves Experience in any of these areas would be considered as a plus: Creating/performing RFI/RFP projects with Sourcing Design of IT infrastructure Security Project management skills We Offer In our 5th Tenet of our Mission we recognize the personal worth of employees by providing an employment framework that allows personal satisfaction in work accomplished, security, advancement opportunity, and means to share in the company's success.
